About removal order appeals

If you have received a removal order, you might be able to appeal it in the Immigration Appeal Division of the Immigration & Refugee Board of Canada.

You have 30 days after receiving the removal order to appeal it in IAD.​


Who can appeal a removal order

You may only appeal a removal order if you are:

  • a permanent resident of Canada
  • a foreign national with a permanent resident visa
  • a Convention refugee or a protected person.
